approach to teaching ethics

Summary This paper presents the approach to teaching ethics that is currently in progress in the Padnos School of Engineering. Are we finished with our work? Certainly not! We are, however, learning and we are open to learning more and changing our approach if a better idea is presented. What we have attempted to do is to create a culture in which the responsible and ethical practice of our profession is taught from the very beginning of our program. The students who are taught in this way will develop the habits of the mind that will enable them to practice engineering in an ethical manner.
