Assignment
For this part of the final learning assessment you will prepare a 3-4 page paper in which you evaluate three different crime prevention programs or strategies. You can discuss programs/strategies covered in the lecture or textbook or that you researched on your own. The first program or strategy should be primary and focus on reducing opportunities to commit crime, such as CPTED. The second program or strategy should be secondary, such as those that focus on at-risk juveniles and preventing their involvement in crime and delinquency. The third program or strategy should be tertiary, such as those aimed at reducing recidivism among existing offenders. For each program, describe what it is and how it aims to prevent crime. Also discuss the strengths of each program, as well as point out areas for improvement.
