Untitled Document

Graded Activity: Individual Work 1 (30 points)
Instructional Objectives for this activity:
Assess databases and database management systems (DBMSs), including their components, models, trends, functions, and means of storage
This week, you have reviewed different components and models that may be implemented into a DBMS for the most effective result at a particular company. In this assignment, you will consider which components should be used and how.

For each of the following scenarios, select the kind of DBMS that you think would be most useful. Explain your reasoning and the components of the relevant designs (such as data model, data manipulation type, and so on).

Scenario A: the company has a great deal of external and internal data that must be accessed randomly.
Scenario B: the company has primarily internal data that must be accessed sequentially.
Make sure to include a description of the functions of each DBMS component, including storage capability. You must reference two quality, peer-reviewed journal articles in your assignment.

Assignment should be three to four pages in length.
