Instructional Objectives for this activity:
Describe global information systems (GISs), their requirements and components, and reasons for implementing them in contemporary markets
To set up a GIS, a company must have a strong network, an international database, and technology that shares information. The GIS must also meet various strategic and operational requirements at the company. You will consider requirements and components of GISs in this assignment.

Using Microsoft Word, create a single document for this written assignment that includes the following components:

  • Answer “Reviews and Discussions” 4 and 6 on page 198.
  • Write a one-page assessment of the reasons for a company to implement a GIS today or over the next decade.

Assignment should be three to four pages in length.
