Social Awareness and Manners
Social Awareness and Manners
Being aware of how one’s behavior impacts others and knowing appropriate manners are important for the development of personal relationships. When people demonstrate courteous and respectful behavior towards others, increased social opportunities naturally become available. Social awareness skills include knowledge of the expectations that people have for behaviors in a variety of settings. Additionally, it is important that the learner will be aware of, and know how to respond to, a variety of social situations including teasing, bullying, seeing the wrongdoing of others, and knowing how respond.
