The law and morality

The law and morality

In the Crito the character Socrates argues that it is immoral to break the law. In a critical essay, evaluate that argument. That is, either offer an objection to the argument or defend the argument from a potential objection. The paper should also anticipate an objection to the paper’s central argument. If the paper defends Socrates, then the paper should include: a thorough explanation of Socrates argument, a clear explanation of an objection and a discussion of why that objection fails.

If the paper offers an objection to Socrates’ argument, then the paper should include: an explanation of Socrates’ argument, an explanation of why Socrates’ argument fails (i.e. an objection), and discuss a potential reply to that objection (and why that reply fails).

The essay should include an introduction, conclusion and a clear thesis statement. It requires full citation from the book Plato-Five Dialogues ‘Crito’. The essay requires 5 pages.
