Instructions for the Character Analysis

The Character Analysis is the same as the Literary Analysis. You already have instructions on writing a literary analysis. Please refer to those notes before you proceed with the assignment.

To proceed with the assignment, please remember that this is an essay; therefore, you will need a good introduction with a strong thesis statement, followed by three body paragraphs, and a concluding paragraph.

The character analysis will focus on one particular character and prove that the character changed, grew, matured, or remained the same throughout your reading.

You will use direct quotes from the textbook to support your argument. The direct quotes must be cited properly by placing the book number and line number(s) I parenthesis at the end of the sentence where the quote is used. Please do not quote more than three lines at a time because quotes have to be explained by you.
