My research topic is on Chinua Achebe. This paper will only provide an overview of the history and culture of the time and place where the work was written.
Historical Analysis
When reading world literature, it is very important to understand the historical and social context of a work. For this assignment, you will write a historical analysis of the reading you’ve chosen for your research paper. Your analysis should be at least 750 words in length.

Research
1. In your analysis, you should clearly identify the location and time period when the work was written. You should then provide an analysis of the historical and social environment of that specific place and time.
2. You may want to think about the following as you research:

6. You should support your analysis with at least 3 secondary sources from the GMC library or library databases.
MLA Style
Your paper must be formatted according to MLA format.
You must include a works-cited page at the end of your paper.
You must include in-text citations within the body of your paper.

Structure
The introduction should include a clear thesis statement. It should also clearly identify the title of the reading you’ve chosen for your research paper, the author’s name, the location, and the time period.
Each body paragraph should have a clear topic sentence that relates back to the thesis. The information in each paragraph should relate to the topic sentence. In the body paragraphs, you should focus on specific historical or cultural points that relate to your thesis.
Before you begin writing, I recommend that you write an outline to organize your ideas. Doing this will help you write a logical, well-organized essay
