what performances stood out to you in The Miller Plays?

8 hours to do this!

Writing reviews is an art in itself. A good review contains an honest examination of how successfully honest acting and a convergence of technical and artistic elements join together to create a compelling theatrical experience.

Knowing what you’ve learned so far about the craft and discipline of acting, what performances stood out to you in The Miller Plays? What elements learned in class did you see onstage? What was the objective? What actions did they take to achieve their objective? What obstacles did they face? Was there unnecessary tension (or pushing or forcing) in the performance? What seemed effortless?  What did you notice about concentration? What was their inner monologue at any given moment? Did the actor utilize subtext effectively? Be as specific as possible in assessing both the performances, and other elements of the production as a whole.

Back up your assessment with specific examples from the play. Please be assured that you are free to provide your honest thoughts about the production in your review.

Finally,  What were you in awe of? What would you do differently?
