“Apocalypse Now”

Watch the movie “Apocalypse Now” and write Apocalypse Now Redux   

1. Research and contextualize the film in terms of its historical significance in cinema, and describe the conditions (aesthetic, economic, etc.) that led to a different version of the film.   
2. Briefly discuss the director and cinematographer’s previous work and how it compares to their work on Apocalypse Now.
3. Discuss the plot points.  What is the dramatic premise?  What is our main character’s dramatic need?
4. Compare and contrast the two versions of the film.  
5. Discuss which version you consider to be more “artistic” and why. 

Papers should be at least four pages, 12 point font.  Make sure to cite your sources using MLA or Chicago-style format.  Three source minimum.
