An ethical question raised by this article is a fraud, a deliberate deception by factory employees, to secure prejudicial and unlawful gain. They manipulate employment requirement records in favor of underage persons, to secure employment opportunities in the factory setup. This is against the international labor standards on child labor, which defines the minimum age requirement for the employment of persons in settings such as the one depicted in this highlight to be 18 years. These factory workers have altered the age of children as young as 15 years to fit in the current employment system.

A retailer in the chain of distribution of the company’s products could resolve this ethical concern. He/she could first issue a warning to the factory on the possible consequence, should their employees not abandon this malpractice. This should give time for the factory to establish a cause of the ethical concern and resolve it. Should the action prove futile, he/she could seek legal advice. The retailer ought to proceed with caution to ensure no counter suits follow them, should evidence linking to fraud be insufficient.

Fraud can be resolved using Nozick’s theory. Nozick believes that people will add to a broad business sector framework wherever the people’s entitlement to private property is regarded, and the state’s part is constrained to that of authorizing contracts and securing against physical power, robbery, and extortion. This is a just theory that will provide the best protection for the market. The state ought to assume responsibility to protect fraud, to ensure honesty, fair competition among business and safeguard the rights of workers. Any endeavor to meddle with the business sector by utilizing the coercive force of the state to lessen imbalance or even to give a better than average minimum by taking some to advantage others disregards the essential good right of persons (Buchanan, 1985).
